Como Directora de Compromiso Multicultural en Mountain America Credit Union, Jennifer Tarazon es responsable de establecer relaciones con grupos demográficos desatendidos y no bancarizados, con un énfasis específico en coordinar los esfuerzos en español dentro de la cooperativa de crédito. En 2021, el gobernador Cox nombró a Jennifer para desempeñarse como comisionada del Departamento de Servicios de Bebidas Alcohólicas de Utah. También se desempeña como vicepresidenta del consejo asesor de PBS Utah y es miembro de la junta del Suazo Business Center.

As Director of Multicultural Engagement at Mountain America Credit Union, Jennifer Tarazon is responsible for establishing relationships with underserved and underbanked demographics, with a specific emphasis on coordinating Spanish-language efforts within the credit union. This new role reflects the organization’s commitment to fostering inclusivity and reaching underserved and underbanked communities across its six-state footprint.
In 2021 Jennifer was appointed by Governor Cox to serve as a Commissioner for the Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Services. She also serves as Vice Chair of PBS Utah’s Advisory Board and is a board member of the Suazo Business Center.
She is a graduate of Smith College and J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.
Thais Robertson Alvarez is a Marketing Specialist representing Strategica Marketing Agency and supporting the Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She is currently studying Marketing at Ensign College and holds certifications in social media, sales, and digital marketing.
In her role, Thais supports marketing initiatives and content development, contributing to projects focused on clear messaging, engagement, and community impact. With a multicultural background, she is passionate about supporting initiatives that empower Hispanic businesses and strengthen meaningful connections.

Ari is a Mexican business professional with more than 20 years of experience in sales operations, marketing, and technology sales across Latin America, where she has contributed to the growth and market expansion of leading global companies. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Chile.
Throughout her career, Ari has led the development of commercial strategies, driven market entry and expansion initiatives, and built and managed high-performing sales teams in competitive, fast-paced environments. She has lived in the United States for the past four years, where she currently leads global sales teams and works across international markets.
Her binational and multicultural background enables her to actively support business communities on both sides of the border and contribute to initiatives that promote international collaboration, economic development, and inclusive growth.
Enrique Sanchez is a proud graduate of the University of Utah, where he earned a degree in Political Science, and Salt Lake Community College, where he studied Criminal Justice. He gained valuable experience in Washington, D.C., through internships with the Latino Leaders Network and the Ibarra Strategy Group.
A long-time resident of Utah, Enrique served as a Community Specialist for the Park City Police Department and Park City Municipal Corporation for nearly five years before joining the American Business Immigration Coalition (ABIC), a national, bipartisan coalition of business leaders working to advance commonsense immigration solutions that strengthen the U.S. economy.
Enrique is an active leader in his community, serving on the boards of the Wasatch Immigration Project, the Park City Community Foundation, and the University of Utah Latinx Alumni Board. He previously served for nearly ten years on the Board of Park City Youth Football in the Ute Conference.
As a DACA recipient and dedicated advocate, Enrique is passionate about bringing his lived experience as an Utah-raised Latino immigrant to the forefront. In his role with ABIC, he focuses on advancing sensible immigration solutions that support workers, strengthen communities, and drive economic growth across the Intermountain region and the country.

Paul is a member of several key organizations, such as the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council and the BYU Management Society. He is also active in supporting higher education, philanthropy, including Alzheimer’s and cancer research initiatives. His studies include accounting from Brigham Young University and accounting and finance from the University of Utah, with post educational work at Stanford University.
Yesica is a resident of West Valley City. She was born in Guatemala and was then raised in Salt Lake City. In 2015, she joined Key as a lead cashier and advanced to a managerial position in 2021.
Outside of work, Yesica serves as a board member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Utah. She is the Secretary of ChamberWest and a Teaching Assistant (TA) at the Suazo Business Center, where she helps aspiring women entrepreneurs. During the summer, you can find Yesica camping and fishing in nearby lakes with her husband and young daughter. She is excited to continue serving and growing the community on the west side.

Randal is the Community Outreach Manager at University of Utah Health Plans. Before working at U of U Health Plans, Randal was the Multicultural Community Relations Specialist at SelectHealth. Previous to that, Randal spent eight years as the Director of Take Care Utah, a network of nonprofit organizations focused on connecting people to health insurance.
Randal received a BA in Political Science and a Master of Public Policy degree and now co-teaches Family Consumer Health at the University of Utah every Spring semester. He also studied Spanish at the University of Valencia, Spain. Randal also worked with the homeless and low-income populations. He worked one year at Fourth Street Clinic in client services and one year at Central City Community Health Center helping families apply for Medicaid and CHIP.
Carmen Chaires is a VP, Middle Market Banker for JP Morgan Chase. She has been in the finance industry for over 10 years. As a banker, she has worked with start-up companies, small businesses, and now middle market-sized industries. She excels in strategizing a company’s cash flow needs and banking services. Carmen was born and raised here in Salt Lake City, Utah. She has a deep understanding and love for the community and wants to help others.
Ileana works on Granite Federal Credit Union as Director of Community RelationsDirector of Community Relations and is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance the intitution’s engagement with the Hispanic community and the communities served, ensuring that their unique financial needs are met. Leading outreach programs, promoting financial literacy initiatives, managing public relations campaigns, and building strong partnerships with Hispanic organizations and leaders.
Sandra is the current Utah 211 Managing Director at United Way of Salt Lake, she graduated from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Sociology and certificate in Criminology. She was born in El Salvador and came to the United States with her parents when she was four years old. They were seeking to provide a better life and opportunity for their family. She appreciates the positive impact that having your own business can do for a family. Her mother ran her own business several times throughout her life which often was the reason she was able provide and care for their family. Owning your own business can be a means to financial stability and lead to financial mobility and therefore she is proud and grateful to be able to serve in the UHCC board.
Grecia lives in Guatemala City. She graduated from BYU-Idaho with a degree in Professional Studies and a certificate in Digital Marketing. She is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of others. Her commitment to service extends into her professional life, where she focuses on delivering high-quality work and fostering meaningful connections. She enjoys creating digital designs and analyzing reports.
When she is not working, you can find her enjoying the serenity of the mountains. Nature is her sanctuary, and hiking allows her to recharge and reconnect with herself. She also has a deep love for reading, as it provides her with knowledge, inspiration, and new ideas.
